The mini-series begins with Rishi (Rohit Suresh Saraf) and Dimple (Prajakta Koli) as they navigate the experience of arranged marriage. While Rishi is looking forward to the arrangement, Dimple’s ambitious personality to become an app developer takes her to a summer computer class away from home. Rishi also takes an admission in the same place in order to get closer to her. The series is filled with drama, laughter, and many heartwarming moments. The Mismatched series is just as glamorous as geeky. From Dimple to Simran, every leading lady of this series has her own aesthetic and a unique style of makeup. 1. Dimple Ahuja
It goes without saying that makeup was the last thing on their mind for Dimple when the story first began. She had no interest in wooing a man, more so to work hard and achieve her dreams. But as her summer course progressed, Dimple began to realise that she could be more than just a nerd. By the end of the Mismatched season 1, Dimple is seen doing minimal style makeup that beautifully enhances her features. 2. Simran Malhotra
Simran is a full-blown influencer with a glamorous, fun-loving persona and has a dedicated fan following on social media. She loves to be a girl’s girl, and her beauty aesthetics are very Barbie-core. She does go through body image issues (by always putting herself in front of an audience), and the series brings those challenges to light. What Simran is fully yet to realise is just how beautiful she has always been. Her makeup style in the Mismatched series is more sleek and feminine. She rocks a winged liner look with a super cute light pink blush look. There is no way Simran wouldn't pick up a poppy pink lipstick. That is the feature of her look, after all!
3. Namrata Bidasaria
Best friend of Rishi, Namrata, is there through Rishi’s thick and thin. She arrives at the Summer college with him as he tries to connect with Dimple. She is a sweet and kind-hearted girl (one of audiences’ personal favourites amongst the Mismatched web series cast). She holds her own secrets that only Rishi knows. Often mistaken as Rishi’s girlfriend, it becomes very clear that their relationship is purely a friendship. Her personality is soft, and her styling reflects her upbringing in a conservative family. Being a people pleaser, she wears makeup that is likeable but not too loud (for her parents) so as to not feel too bold. Here in the picture above, she wears a kurta and some jhumkas along with a timeless deep pink lip colour that reminds us of our Hot-Pop Velvet Matte Bullet Lipstick.
4. Nandini Nahata
The Mismatched series is no short of super awesome female leads, and while we adore Vinny and Zeenat Karim, there’s one lady who is here to rock the ground with her powerful presence, and that’s Nandini. She is Professor Siddharth Sinha’s ex and Dimple’s idol. She is what Dimple has always dreamt of becoming, the woman at the top of her career with power and confidence. Nandini is a sophisticated woman and often styles herself in structured clothes with a classic and impressionable makeup look. Both her upper water line and lower water line are lined with a Kajal ( for which our Nazar Na Lage waterproof eyeliner is perfect). She likes to choose lip colours that never go out of style, and the red shade in the picture above, similar to our BFF Squad- Lip Volumizing Matte Crayon, is perfect for the look.
Mismatched Season 3 is highly anticipated and will surely bring more laughter, happiness, drama, and glam. The series does not shy away from showing the modern-day dynamics and difficulties faced by the young boys and girls, as well as the older generations. The character’s makeup and styling is a clear reflection of their personality and their situations. We can’t wait to see our favourites become stronger, and more confident with their capabilities to achieve their dreams.
