The Beauty Trends Taking Over Fashion Week (And How to Wear Them)

The Beauty Trends Taking Over Fashion Week (And How to Wear Them)

You know a beauty trend is good when you spot it on the runaway and immediately start thinking of recreating it yourself.

Could I do that with my blush?

Should I be wearing purple eyeshadow again?

And why does slightly messy makeup suddenly look so good?

If New York Fashion Week, London Fashion week and Milan Fahsion Week Spring/Summer 2027 made something clear, it was: beauty got its personality back. New York made makeup playful. London got wonderfully weird. Milan turned faces into art.

Here are some of the beauty trends in Fashion Week we’re actually taking home.

1. Shine Has Left The Cheekbones

New York started Fashion Month with sparkling that was bound to catch eyes. At Altuzarra, metallics traced around the eyes. Connor Ives chose to go for glittered lids, while Maria McManus has dabbed glitter-flecked balm across the eyes, cheeks and lips.

Sparkle is now across places. If you are looking to get some shine and glitter in your makeuo bag, take the LoveChild Star Song Liquid Highlighter and swipe it beyond the usual cheekbone: tap it onto the lids, inner corners or cupid’s bow. Or better yet; mix a little of it into Skip Everything 4-in-1 Blurring Serum Skin Tint for a more all-over glow.

2. Blush Is Going Places

Remember how blush has mapped areas around which it was meticulously put? That era is officially done and has ushered in an era of more fun and experiment.

At Sandy Liang during New York Fashion Week, blush was swept across the cheeks and bridge of the nose for a beautiful flushed look. Then London switched things up: at Erdem, Lynsey Alexander placed colour lower on the face with a “low boy blush”. Milan took it somewhere else entirely. It looked at Renaissance paintings for inspiration, layering blush for soft, painterly dimension.

Translation? There’s no single “right” place anymore and you can make your choice basis what your mood for the day is.

Sweep LoveChild Mattifying Powder Blush towards your temples for lift, across the nose for a sun-touched flush. Build the LoveChild Blockbuster Blush on the cheeks when you want a splash of colour.

3. Brown Makeup Is Anything But Basic

One of the easiest to adopt makeup trends Fashion Week gave us came from New York: warm, tonal makeup.

Tibi paired terracotta-cocoa eyes with mocha cheeks, while Connor Ives carried bronzer and blush across both eyes and face. It’s a new play on monochromatic makeup.

Start with One Take 5-in-1 BB Cream  for a hydrated base, sweep LoveChild Bronzer across your cheeks and take a little onto your lids. Add a neutral lip colour and there is a look you can rock during most occasions.

Efficient? Yes. Boring? Absolutely not.

4. London Put Colour Back On The Guest List

Then came London Fashion Week, and subtlety became optional.

Aaron Esh paired electric-blue lipstick with fluorescent eyes and silver shadow. At Burberry, lips showed up in a mix of lilac, persimmon and neon pink. Across London, beauty references ranged from witches to fairies and ghouls, whimsical and enchanting.

The beauty trends London Fashion Week served weren't really asking us to recreate a runway face. They were asking us to stop being scared of colours and breaking some rules.

Try the lipstick shade you usually save for “an occasion”. Add a flash of unexpected colour around the eyes. Or pair a bold lip with Skip Everything 4-in-1 Blurring Serum Skin Tint and Concealer Cameo so everything else stays fresh.

One loud choice. And you can create a look to remember.

5. Milan Said: Your Face Can Be The Mood Board

By the time Milan Fashion Week came in, makeup had become art.

The Milan fashion week referenced Renaissance paintings for the complexion, then moved between sparkling eyes, vintage glitter and colour-pop lips. The interesting bit wasn't any particular product or placement. It was the choice of mix and match.

The looks were created with the brush of a painter; fresh skin with glitter,  blush with a bright lip, softness next to spectacle..

6. Skin That Looks Natural

Among all the colour and glitter, one of Fashion Week's biggest statements was surprisingly quiet.

At Labrum in London, natural skin took centre stage. Annie’s Ibiza kept foundation light and skipped concealer, while in some placed, the work was with models’ natural features and textures.

New York had its own version: Sandy Liang's sporty beauty even played up natural darkness underneath the eyes instead of covering it by default.

So the new rule? Your base doesn't need to erase the natural touch of your face.

Reach for Skip Everything 4-in-1 Blurring Serum Skin Tint when you want luminous coverage, or One Take 5-in-1 BB Cream for a natural-matte finish. Then dot Concealer Cameo only where you actually want a little more coverage.

7. Slightly Undone Is The New Look

London gave us wispy chignons and deliberately mismatched extensions. Milan embraced an imperfect, hurried mood. Across the runways, beauty felt less delicate and more lived-in.

Bring that energy to your makeup. Smudge your eyeliner instead of sharpening it. Tap your lipstick in with your finger. Play with your blush. Let the messiness show and win hearts.

The Runway Gave Us The Ideas. You Do The Rest.

Across New York Fashion Week, London Fashion week and Milan Fashion week, only thing that mattered was beauty was not bound by rules.

It got more colourful. More playful. A little messier. And much more personal.

So steal New York's sparkle. Try London's unexpected colour. Borrow Milan's painterly blush.Or mix all three.

Because this season's best Fashion Week beauty trend isn't about looking runway-ready. It's about making your makeup fun again.
